The XD3S DC exciter is an exciter with integrated power section for DC currents for excitation of synchronous generators and motors. It is designed for the operation of synchronous machines with low excitation current or auxiliary excitation current requirements.

Operation
Parameterization is performed via the powerful EM3000 Engineering Manager, which is available as PC application software and is connected to the controller via the Ethernet service interface.
